Services Employers - NCAD

 

NCAD Careers Service provides information and advice for students on matters relating to future career choice, postgraduate study and areas of employment and job profiles. The Careers Service is open Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 2.00pm during term time only, and is located in the main administration building.

 

The service is available to students throughout their full time study with particular emphasis on final year students. Graduates may make an appointment to see the Careers Adviser for up to one year after graduation, and thereafter if they are members of the Graduate Network Association for a further two years by phone or email.

 

NCAD host an annual degree show to present the work of final year students. If employers wish to attend they may contact the Careers Adviser for details. Job vacancies are emailed to graduates on a daily basis, and the Careers Adviser collaborates with employers in developing graduate placement programmes.

 

Academic members of staff may refer students for a quick query session or a longer individual appointment. In discussion with academic members of staff a time table and venue for career workshops is agreed.

Events

Creative Careers: Finding work in Art, Design, Media and Performing Arts'' is a fair due to take place on Tuesday 6th November, 2007 at the Irish Museum of Modern Art(IMMA) in Kilmainham, Dublin. The event will run from 12.00noon until 4.00pm.

This is a collaborative event organised by the Careers Advisers of third level colleges throughout the country, which offer courses related to the art, design, media and performance. The focus of this Creative Careers Fair will be on information and networking for art and design students. The event is open to current students and graduates.
